After your cruise · Amsterdam
Couples massage in Amsterdam after your cruise ends
Coming ashore in the morning leaves a strange day behind it. The floor has stopped moving and the body has not been told, meals arrive when the two of you decide rather than when a bell says so, and for the first time in a week nothing is scheduled. This is the evening the longer bookings belong to.
Why the evening ashore is the better half of the trip to book
A pre-cruise night is a night with a morning attached to it. A post-cruise night usually is not. Most couples who disembark in Amsterdam keep a room for one or two nights and fly home late the following day, which means the first evening back has nothing in front of it and nothing behind it. That is the rarest kind of evening on any trip and it is worth spending deliberately rather than letting it dissolve into a walk and an early night. Everything that is a poor idea before boarding is a good idea here: three hours instead of ninety minutes, a format that needs a shower afterwards, a start time that nobody has to work backwards from. The page on the evening before embarkation spends most of its length explaining what has to be cut; this one does not have to cut anything.
Sea legs, and the week your body spent compensating
Almost everyone coming off a vessel after several days reports some version of the same thing: a faint sense that the room is still moving, usually strongest when lying down and worst in the first two nights. It is ordinary and it passes, and it has a practical consequence for a booking. A body that has been quietly bracing for a week does not respond to brisk work the way it did before the trip. Slow is better than strong, long is better than short, and anything that asks you to relax on command tends to produce the opposite. That is the reason tantra is named more often on this page than anywhere else on the site: breath-led, repetitive, with no destination in it, and ninety minutes at the shortest. Slow oil work does much the same job at a gentler entry price.
Sleep, after a week of somebody else’s timetable
The other thing a voyage leaves behind is a sleep pattern built around announcements. Meals at fixed hours, an early call for a shore day, lights and movement at the same times every night. The first night in a still room frequently produces wakefulness rather than the collapse people expect, and couples are often surprised to be wide awake at one in the morning after a week of going to bed at ten. A late start is therefore a real option here in a way it is not before boarding. An evening booking that begins at ten and runs to midnight or one is not an indulgence on this particular night; it is a sensible use of hours that were going to be awake anyway.
The eight hour block, which belongs here or nowhere
Eight hours is sold as one figure rather than as an hourly rate nobody stopped: 2,500 euros for a couple sharing one therapist and 5,760 with a therapist each. It is a long evening rather than a long treatment, paced with real gaps in it, and the gaps are part of the booking. The whole point is that nobody is counting, which is the exact opposite of what a pre-cruise night allows. Half confirms it, so 1,250 euros goes ahead on the couple block with one therapist. The one constraint is the room: the block has to sit inside the hours the room is genuinely yours, and a late checkout is worth arranging before the block is placed rather than after. Where eight hours is more than the evening wants, three hours at 1,080 for two with one therapist covers most of the same ground.
Formats that were a poor idea last week and a good one now
Nuru needs a flat surface, generous towels and a rinse that takes as long as it takes. Soapy starts in the bathroom and lives on what the bathroom turns out to be. Both were the wrong call before an early transfer and both are entirely reasonable on a night with a late checkout after it. Nuru in particular is the format guests describe as unlike anything else on the list, because the gel removes friction almost completely and the contact registers as warmth rather than pressure. Ninety minutes is its floor and two hours is better once setting up and rinsing are counted honestly. If the room came with a narrow cubicle rather than a walk-in shower, book something else and do not spend the evening finding out.
Two nights ashore, and whether to book both
Couples who stay two nights after coming ashore sometimes book both, and there is no reason not to. Each night is a separate booking with its own figure and its own deposit, and nothing is discounted for being consecutive. Asking for the same therapist on both dates is a common request and a fair one; whether she is free on both is a question the reply answers rather than a promise this page can make. Where only one of the two nights is going to carry a booking, the first is usually the better one. The strangeness of being back on land is at its sharpest on the first evening, and by the second most people have started to reorganise themselves around a flight home.
Deposits, moves and the flight home
Half the fee confirms any booking made more than twenty-four hours ahead, which covers a post-cruise night arranged before the voyage began, along with every eight hour block, every booking with two therapists, every session of three hours or more, and the first booking a client makes with the house. The remaining half is handed over once she is in the room. If the plan changes, one move of the date is free provided the request reaches the thread more than twenty-four hours before the booked time and the new date falls within fourteen days. Cancellation follows the notice scale and nothing else: the whole deposit back beyond twenty-four hours, half kept inside the final day while she has not yet left, the whole of it kept once she is on her way, and repaid in full if the hour is taken by somebody else.
Writing it on the morning you dock
Plenty of these bookings are arranged weeks in advance and plenty are written the same morning from a phone that has just rejoined a mobile network. Both work. Same-day requests are ordinary here, and the arrival window is the usual forty to sixty minutes to any central address once the hour is agreed. What helps is saying that you came ashore that day, because it changes what gets suggested: a length rather than a format, and a start time later than most people would think to ask for. Give the district, the hour, the length and whether it is one therapist or two, and the reply names who is free. The booking page has the sequence and the formats page has the rest of the list.
