Can a therapist come to us on board the ship?
No. Bookings are taken for a room the two of you hold on land in Amsterdam, or at a Schiphol airport hotel by arrangement, and for nowhere else. A vessel decides for itself who may board it and keeps a record of anyone who does, and the house has no part in either. This is not a matter of notice or of figure, and the answer is the same for an hour and for the eight hour block.
We board at eight in the morning. How late can we book the evening before?
Late enough to be worth doing, and it is still worth working backwards rather than forwards. Ninety minutes starting at half past eight finishes by ten and leaves a genuine night behind it. Three hours starting at eleven does not, and a transfer coach will leave without the two of you. Put the boarding hour in the first message and a length will be proposed against it.
How long does she take to reach the room?
Forty to sixty minutes to any central Amsterdam address, counted from the moment the hour is agreed rather than from the first message. The figure does not move with the district or with the time of day. A room at a Schiphol airport hotel sits outside that window and is arranged separately, with the length of her journey agreed with you before anything is fixed.
Our cabin is not ready until four and we have a day room until five. Does that work?
It does, provided the room is genuinely yours for the hours booked. A day room taken for an afternoon is an ordinary address as far as the booking is concerned. What matters is that the booking ends before the room stops being yours, so count backwards from the hour you have to hand the key back and place the session inside it.
Where do we put the cases during a session?
Wherever they are is usually fine for one therapist, and less fine for two, who need clear floor on both sides of the bed. On a turnaround day most couples have already left the cases in a luggage room downstairs, which solves it. If both cases are open on the floor and the room is small, say so in the thread and the arrangement can be adjusted before the hour is fixed rather than after.
Is there a surcharge for a booking near the water or near the terminal?
No. Nothing is added for her journey anywhere inside the ring, and the hotel areas around the passenger quay and the central station are ordinary central addresses on the same tariff as everywhere else. The only arrangement priced differently in practice is a room at a Schiphol airport hotel, and that is arranged rather than surcharged, with the journey time agreed first.
Do we both have to be twenty-one or over?
Yes, both of you, and everyone else who happens to be in the room. A photo document may be asked for at the door from either guest, read once and handed straight back. Nothing is copied, scanned or noted down. Where the question cannot be settled on the doorstep she leaves before the session begins.
One therapist between us or a therapist each. What is the difference in practice?
One therapist alternates between you, so the evening is continuous but only one of you is being worked on at a time, at 360 euros an hour. A therapist each means two sessions running side by side and finishing together, at 720 an hour. The first is the more common pre-cruise booking; the second is what couples ask for on a last night ashore.
What does a deposit cover and when is it asked for?
Half the fee confirms a booking made more than twenty-four hours ahead, an eight hour block, any booking with two therapists, a room at Schiphol or an airport hotel, a peak date, a session of three hours or more, and a first booking with the house. A couple planning around a sailing is nearly always in one of those categories. The other half is settled on arrival, and the amount and destination appear only inside the agreed thread.
Our sailing date moved. Can we move the booking?
A first change of date costs nothing, so long as the request lands in the thread more than twenty-four hours ahead of the booked time and the replacement date sits inside fourteen days. The deposit crosses over untouched. A second move, or one asked for inside the final day, is read on the notice scale exactly as a cancellation sent at that moment would be, and whatever is not kept goes on to the new date.
What happens to the deposit if we cancel?
It follows the notice you give and nothing else. Beyond the twenty-four hour mark, every cent of the deposit is returned to you. Within the last twenty-four hours, with her still at home, half counts as fee already earned and half returns to you. After she has set out, the deposit stays with the house in full. Where another client takes that hour the whole of it comes back, and where you can show the loss ran smaller than the share kept, the house keeps only the smaller figure. No claim for damages ever follows.
Is a session ever paid entirely on arrival?
Only in one case: a client the house has looked after before, at an address inside the city, asking for one or two hours later the same day. That booking carries no deposit at all, so nothing is owed if it is called off before she has left. Stopped after she has set out across the city, it costs the share of the fee that her journey stands for, and the house asks for nothing further.
How is the balance settled?
On arrival, in cash, and a major currency other than the euro is welcome with the exact sum confirmed in writing before she sets out. Everything quoted anywhere on these pages is an amount in euro. The deposit itself goes by card, or by Revolut, Wise or cryptocurrency, and bank transfer and PayPal are not used. A deposit cannot be cash for the plain reason that it is settled before she leaves.
Can we book two nights in a row with the same therapist?
You can ask, and on a post-cruise stay it is a common request. Whether she is free on both dates is a question the reply answers rather than a promise the site can make. Each night is a separate booking with its own figure and its own deposit, and the two are not discounted for being consecutive.
What if our flight in is delayed and we land at midnight?
Write as soon as you know, and the booking is moved rather than lost, provided the message reaches the thread more than twenty-four hours before the booked time. Within the last day, a delay is measured on the notice scale exactly as any other change would be, since an airline moving a flight falls on your side of the line and not on the force majeure side.
Do you need to know which ship or which line we are on?
No, and it is not asked for at any point. The only two facts a booking needs from your itinerary are the date and the hour the two of you have to be somewhere, because the length and the start time are planned backwards from them. Nothing about the vessel is recorded, and naming it would not change a single figure on this site.
Is the session ever held anywhere other than our room?
No. There is no studio, no reception and no address for anyone to find, so the room the two of you hold is the only venue. That covers hotel rooms, apartments and day rooms in central Amsterdam, and rooms at Schiphol airport hotels by arrangement. Nothing is arranged outside Amsterdam and Schiphol, on any date.
Can we book for the afternoon rather than the evening?
Yes, and on a turnaround day the afternoon is the only window most couples have. The tariff does not change with the hour, the day of the week or the season, so an hour at two in the afternoon is the same figure as an hour at ten at night. The arrival window is the same forty to sixty minutes either way.
What does she bring and what should the room have?
She brings towels, oil and whatever the format needs, so the room only has to supply warmth, a bed and floor space beside it. Two therapists want clear floor on both sides. Nuru and soapy work want a shower worth using afterwards. Everything else on the list works in an ordinary central double room with the curtains shut.
Can the booking be arranged before we fly, from home?
That is how most bookings on this site are made, and it is the sensible way to do it when the date is fixed by a sailing. Give the date, the hour, the length, the district if you know it, and whether it is one therapist or two. The deposit confirms the date, and the room number can follow later in the same thread once you have checked in.
We board at eight in the morning and want to cancel tonight at ten. What does that cost?
It depends on whether she has left. Say the booking is ninety minutes for the pair of you with a single therapist, EUR 540, so EUR 270 went ahead. A message at ten, for a session booked at eleven, lands inside the final twenty-four hours but before she has set out, so EUR 135 is kept as fee already earned and EUR 135 is repaid. Written the previous afternoon instead, all EUR 270 would have come back. Written at twenty past eleven with her already crossing the city, the whole EUR 270 stays, unless another client takes the hour, in which case it is repaid in full. If you can show the loss was smaller than the share kept, only that smaller figure stays.
Our sailing was moved by a week. Can we move the booking with it?
One change of date is free, and it is the right thing to ask for rather than cancelling. Two conditions apply: the request has to reach the thread more than twenty-four hours before the booked time, and the new date has to fall within fourteen days. With both met, the first half of the fee moves across intact. Where the new sailing sits further out than fourteen days, write anyway and say so; a second move, or a move asked for inside the final day, is measured on the notice scale as a cancellation sent at that moment would be, and whatever the scale does not keep travels forward.
We are flying in the day before and staying at an airport hotel. Is the deposit different there?
The amount is not, but the reason for it is. A room at Schiphol or at an airport hotel carries half the fee in advance on its own account, whatever the notice and whoever is asking, so it would carry one even if you wrote the same afternoon. In practice a fly-in booking is arranged from home weeks earlier and meets the twenty-four hour rule first. The other thing an airport room changes is the timing: it sits outside the forty to sixty minutes that applies in central Amsterdam, so the journey is agreed with you in writing before the hour is fixed.
Both of us will be in the room. Who has the last word on what the hour holds?
The therapist does, and having two guests present changes nothing about that. Her limits are hers, she states them at the start of the visit in her own words, and they hold until she leaves. Where two therapists come, each states her own and neither speaks for the other. She may decline a booking at any point, before it is agreed or after, and she owes no explanation for it. She may also end a visit whenever she decides to. Press against a limit she has already named and the evening finishes there: the fee for the reserved time stands, nothing further is added, and the terms put the same rule in colder language.
Is a document asked for from each of us on the doorstep?
She may, and a couple is no exception to it. Whoever wrote the booking and everyone else in the room has to be twenty-one or over, so a photo document may be asked for on the doorstep from either of you. She reads it once and returns it in the same movement. Nothing is copied, scanned or photographed, and no detail from it is written down anywhere afterwards. Where the question of who is present cannot be settled on the doorstep, she goes without starting, and the age statement carries the whole of that rule.
My partner has not written anything in the thread. Is that a problem?
It can be, and it is worth clearing up before the date rather than at the door. One of you books, which is ordinary and expected, but both of you have to have agreed to the booking itself. She checks that when she arrives rather than assuming it from a thread she never saw, and where the second person in the room is plainly surprised by her being there, she goes and the fee for the reserved time stands. A line in the first message saying that both of you have agreed to it costs nothing and settles the matter early.
Can she come aboard the ship instead of to our hotel room?
No, and the answer does not change for a longer booking or a larger figure.
